Hyundai Motor Türkiye celebrated June 23, International Women in Engineering Day, by highlighting the experiences and inspiring insights of its engineers who create value within the organization.
As part of the celebration, Hyundai Motor Türkiye prepared a special content series to showcase the contributions of its employees who make a difference in the field of engineering and to share inspiring stories. The study featured engineers from various departments, emphasizing what inspires them in their profession, their success stories, and their advice to younger generations.
In this context, Hyundai Motor Türkiye employees shared what engineering means to them and what motivates them in their work:
Senior Cost Analysis Specialist Burcu Özen emphasized that the competencies she gained in engineering serve as a key source of motivation, stating:
“Analyzing the challenges I encounter, producing effective solutions, and achieving tangible outcomes motivate me.”
Assistant Manager of Cost Analysis Feyza Ağırkaya highlighted the importance of data-driven decision-making processes, saying:
“The most enjoyable part of my job is conducting data-driven analyses and seeing the tangible impact of the decisions made on the company.”
Production Engineer Özgül Ceren Çışan underlined the importance of creating value through diverse perspectives in engineering, stating:
“Being a woman in engineering means creating value through different perspectives. Technical knowledge and leadership are independent of gender; women’s perspectives add brilliance and detail to the field.”
People & Culture Business Partner Gizem Koçak emphasized the importance of combining an engineering mindset with human-centered processes, saying:
“My greatest achievement is creating value by integrating my engineering approach with people-centered processes. Making employees’ voices visible through data-driven and feedback-oriented projects is very meaningful to me.”
Quality Assurance Engineer Hazal Yıldırım offered advice to young aspiring engineers, stating:
“Believe in yourself and do not be afraid of making mistakes. As long as you remain open to learning, keep going without giving up.”
Senior IT Planning Specialist Canser Altunel highlighted the importance of self-confidence and communication skills in an engineering career journey, saying:
“Do not underestimate yourself. If you are sitting at a table, you have earned the right to be there. Remember that communication skills are just as important as technical knowledge in the business world.”
Production Systems and IT Infrastructure Engineer Zuhal Yılmaz emphasized the essence of engineering, stating:
“Engineering is, above all, a passion for curiosity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving. I recommend having confidence in yourself, not being afraid to make mistakes, and being continuously open to learning.”
