For nearly 30 years, Hyundai Motor Türkiye (HMTR) has played a leading role in the automotive industry through its manufacturing operations, while continuing to create social value through corporate social responsibility initiatives under the Hyundai Continue umbrella. Within this framework, the “Second Life in Education” project aims to contribute to the advancement of technical education and support the development of a skilled workforce for the future by donating vehicles and equipment to educational institutions. Through this project, Marmara University’s Mechatronics Engineering Department, Kocaeli University’s Automotive Engineering Department, Nuh Cement Vocational School, and Bağcılar and Küçükyalı Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools have strengthened their practical training infrastructure thanks to HMTR’s donations, enabling students to enhance their technical skills.
“Contributing to a skilled workforce is our primary responsibility”
As part of the project, Marmara University and Bağcılar Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School each received two vehicles, while Kocaeli University’s Automotive Engineering Department received one vehicle. In addition, more than 100 pieces of equipment, including engines and various other components, were donated to all participating institutions.

Ill Seon Ra, Head of Business Strategy Department at Hyundai Motor Türkiye, stated:
"At Hyundai Motor Türkiye, we consider contributing to education and the development of a skilled workforce for the future as one of our foremost responsibilities. Through the ‘Second Life in Education’ project, we see it as our mission to support young people in enhancing their technical knowledge and skills. We will continue to uphold Hyundai’s approach of prioritizing social contribution here in Türkiye as well."
The schools that received donations were also hosted at HMTR’s İzmit Plant, where Hyundai Motor Türkiye provided students with the opportunity to observe equipment usage firsthand. Following the plant tour, students participated in a Q&A session with Hyundai Motor Türkiye executives. During this session, they gained detailed insights into production processes and asked questions about Concept THREE, the new electric model set to be produced at HMTR’s plant in 2026. This interaction broadened students’ perspectives on the industry while giving them a closer look at Hyundai’s future-focused innovation efforts.
